Will you come in?

It snowed yesterday,
We fought the day before

I've got the flu today,
And a eustachian tube that's sore

It's a centimetre or two in Bloomsbury,
But a full ten in the South East.

The courtyard's crisp, white and dry
The cherry tree, a frozen, not too pleased ghost;

I make myself tea, and pancakes with maple syrup
And soup, warm focaccia, and a mozarella salad,

Then ask the pigeons, shivering two to a bough,
"To share the tea, I'll be glad

Or some soup, since you look so rough...
Will you come in, and be my guests?"

Poetry! What a surprise?! Especially after the last Big Brother post. ...I agree with you completely that Big Brother or it's Indian version Bigg Boss are indeed a mirror to our society and attitudes. What I love though, is the fact that someone as on the verge of disappearing into oblivion as Shilpa Shetty, managed to unwittingly spark off the whole furore and have everyone from Tony Blair downwards in snooty Britain make grovelling public statements favoring India :)
Barring that, I disagree with all arguements people have about the shows being scripted and the pettiness of squabbling over chicken stock cubes. If you've ever lived in a hostel in school or college with limited ration and tuck, this was an everyday story! The racial twist to the tale is simply a peg to hang the public outrage and help them vent!

Vij, I completely agree:)

N, I have been known to brandish a pen, much to the embarassment of those around. Glad this turned out otherwise:)

Dianne, no, you didn't. I'm s'posed to take photos of the stuff and put 'em up, but haven't yet. Put it down to a mixture of embarassment and laziness.

Hey, nice to know that the appearance of the pictures of the paintings on this space is not entirely ruled out. Also hope to see more of the poetic pen strokes too. :)

Dianne, I promise to put stuff up by Spring. Cross my heart;)

Hi, N, that's definitely not poetry. It's a bloody scribble. You want poems, you read this lad WT here.

WT, yeah, right, whatever mate;)

wishfulthinker: Oh no! And to think we just got introduced!

Was directed to your space by Nevermind. Started reading from the bottom of the page to get a feel of things, and just as I was getting ready to drop in a "hi", I saw your "goodbye".

C'mon! Stick around for a while. Else, who's going to prod Nevermind to scribble lyrics occasionally?

Well, it was nice to have nearly-'known' you.

Cheers,
~N.
